Tom lives on the South Coast of England and is a self-confessed geek.
Tom uses his corner of the internet developing websites and online applications. He is a budding photographer, having used a range of cameras from compacts to his digital SLR.
Tom is a young healthcare professional with specialist interest in anaesthesia and pre-hospital care. He holds a Diploma of Higher Education in Operating Department Practice from Bournemouth University and is a registered Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). He was a member of the College of ODP’s, where he was on a medicines management committee to allow ODP’s to administer drugs under Patient Group Directives (PGD’s). He is currently back at university undertaking his final year of a BSc(Hons) in Paramedic Practice so that he can register and work as a Paramedic with the ambulance service. He undertook a dissertation on the management of sepsis in the pre-hospital environment.
Tom is also a volunteer with both his local Community First Responder scheme and for St John Ambulance where he is currently an area manager for his region. Within St John Ambulance, he is also a qualified first aider, ambulance attendant and healthcare professional with experience at a range of events in all roles. He is also a trained youth leader working with the St John Ambulance cadets.
